The Barge Center invites you to a fun family day!
On Saturdays from 12 to 17, there are fun family days at the Barge Hall, where you can see the new barge being built, which is almost ready and hear how a unique ship for the Emajõe-Peipsi region is built with the help of local masters and local renewable raw materials. Children can make their own boat model by hand using old-fashioned techniques and test its buoyancy. In addition, guests can enjoy an educational trail (boat wood, ironwork, pulleys, boat parts, memory game), boat models and steam engines, boat simulator, play boat, sandpit-boat and block corner boat puzzles and 3D puzzles, rope-powered machine and old-fashioned sports games. A new two-masted barge is being built at the Barge Hall- the largest wooden boat built in Estonia after the first independence period. Excursion in Estonian introducing the barge building starts at 13 and 14, English one at 15. We will look at the barge that is under construction and find out what, how and why? At the end of the tour, we will watch a film about the history of barges and the construction of Jõmmu. You can also visit the exhibition or sit in the cafe.
Adult ticket 8 euros, children 4-18 years 5 euros, children 1-3 years 2 euros.
Family ticket 25 euros. Children under one year FREE.
